Call for Papers

NSWHLF2007 invites submissions for contributed papers on topics including original research and innovative projects, particularly those using Web 2.0/ Library 2.0 technologies and techniques to reach the library users' environment.

The NSW Health Libraries Forum 2007 is an ideal venue for first time paper/poster presenters. Use this friendly audience as a practice run before submitting to the 1oth International Congress on Medical Librarianship. ICML2009 is being held in Brisbane, Australia, in August/September 2009.

Consider presenting a paper relating to the Forum theme 'Focus on the User Environment: Techniques & Technologies'. Suggestions for paper content include:

  • describe a Web 2.0/Library 2.0 tool that your library is using (eg. blogs, wikis, social tagging, podcasts)
  • innovative ways to reach client groups
  • collaboration/partnership opportunities between NSW health libraries
  • demonstrate new technologies that have made a difference to your users
  • share methods for effective client feedback
  • innovative service delivery
  • new services recently introduced by your library
